Cultural Exchange #1

Cultural exchange is a cultural exchange by showcasing one of the cultures from each country. Cultural exchange 1 took place on August 24, 2023. This event was attended by friends from Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea, and of course Indonesia. Each country one by one enlivened this event.

Here's the schedule for the day:

The event was opened with a lively welcome speech. There was also the inauguration of South Korea Corner. Then continued with performances from representatives of each country.

Starting from the performance of the song See Tinh

Hello Viet Nam

‘Aloha’ from the South Korean delegation

Traditional Dance Performance from Laos

Duet from the Vietnamese delegation who performed Someone You Loved

Performances from the Philippines

A duet from the South Korean delegation

And finally! The performance of the Indonesian delegation!

We only prepared this dance for about 3 days. But thankfully everything went well.

Then the performance of the Vietnamese representative performed a Chinese song

Dance from the South Korean delegation, so cute ><

Then the cultural exchange was closed with a dance together. This event was very lively and fun!

The arrival of the Rector of UNMUL, the Dean of UNMUL and his staff to DThU

A few days before the arrival of the rector and his staff to DThU, Mr. Truc had already told us; me and my friends from UNMUL, to prepare ourselves to welcome him.

It was August 28, 2023, the day of the arrival of the rector and the staffs. That day a series of formal activities were carried out. This meeting marked the beginning of the cooperation between UNMUL and DThU.

At this meeting, Alya, Angga, and I were also given the opportunity to give our impressions during our time at DThU. When it was my turn, I opened my message with an introduction to Vietnamese. I really like learning languages, including Vietnamese. Therefore, on several occasions I deliberately used Vietnamese. One of them is like this time.

This meeting went well. And continued with a campus tour and also a welcoming lunch. It was my second welcoming lunch during my time at DThU, the taste was the same; very good! I tasted many new foods that day.

After finishing lunch, finally the rector from UNMUL and his staff had to immediately return to Ho Chi Minh because there was another agenda after this that had to be attended.

I am very grateful to UNMUL for giving me this precious opportunity. Not only that, I am also grateful because UNMUL has taken care of us very well. Thank you so much UNMUL!

Likewise, with DThU, everyone at DThU is very kind without exception. They took care of us as if we were their own students. I LOVE DThU!

Welcoming Meeting-Sea Teacher Batch 9 #2

About a week before our return, we were informed that there would be a second batch of sea teachers after us. Therefore, we were asked to help welcome them. Therefore, we prepared the dance that we previously performed at cultural exchange 1, except this time there were 3 people from the buddies who joined us.

I had the responsibility of being the instructor for this dance, so I was also responsible for training the buddies to dance this dance. They were very fast learners, so there were no obstacles while guiding them. It's just that at that time we were in the practice stage of demo teaching, so it was difficult to adjust the time with other Indonesian friends.

Thankfully the day went well, and it was also an honor to welcome our fellow delegates.

Today's Welcoming Meeting was lively. Representatives of the delegation this time also introduced the culture of the country and the profile of their respective universities. This event was also attended by TV stations to cover. So, this event was indeed very lively!

I'm so happy to be a part of this event!

Farewell Party!

For every meeting, there must be a farewell.

September 8, 2023, 5 PM local time to be exact; the day of the farewell party. This day really reminded me that even though we weren't always together, the memories are always there.

At this party all the feelings come together and are hard to define. I get very emotional when I remember this day. We were greeted by Mr. Truc, Ms. Mai, and the buddies with warm smiles.

We were also served with delicious cakes and food.

We also gave a memento to Mr. Truc and Ms. Mai, because they have helped and taken care of us so much. We love you Mr. Truc and Ms. Mai!

We sang and danced together. It was warm and fun. We also shared impressions and messages for El and Ram as they will be returning to their country, the Philippines tomorrow.
