Places to Visit
Nguyễn Sinh Sắc Relic
The first destination I visited in Cao Lanh was the tomb of Nguyen Sinh Sac. He is the father of Ho Chi Minh. Ho Chi Minh was a Vietnamese revolutionary and statesman as well as the first president of Vietnam.
This place is vast and consists of several buildings.
In addition, there is the tomb of Nguyen Sinh Sac, said the buddy who accompanied me there, if we pray in front of Nguyen sin sac grave, they believe it will happen for real.
This was also the first time I tried Lotus Tea. Cao Lanh City is indeed famous for lotus.
Traditional Market - Chợ Cù lao Tân Thuận Đông
To get to this traditional market from Cao Lanh you need to cross by boat. The queue to cross to the traditional market is always crowded, especially on weekends.
At the traditional market, the food sold is very diverse. Starting from desserts, pastries, candies, tea, other drinks, and traditional food from Vietnam. But one thing for sure is that here it is difficult to find food that is not made from pork because almost all the food here contains pork. However, my Muslim friends and I can still buy desserts made from fruits or vegan food.
The traditional market is surrounded by bamboo and is located by the river, so it's perfect for relaxing and spending time with your loved ones.
'Northern Gathering Place 1954 in Cao Lanh' Monument
The monument is located in Hamlet 6, Ward 6, Cao Lanh City and was recently ranked as a National Historic Site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The monument not only marks the 1954 Northern encounter in Cao Lanh but is also a work of fine art with aesthetically valuable details, and symbols.
Lap Vo City
Lap Vo City is one of the cities adjacent to Cao Lanh City. If you want to go to this city, you can cross by boat or cross the Cao Lanh bridge. My friends and I visited this city during Culture Exchange #2.
In this city, we tried pho and also hung out at one of the cafes overlooking the river. From this cafe, we could even see Dong Thap University. The view from the cafe also leads to Cao Lanh bridge which is beautiful at night.
Sa Dec City
Friends who love flowers will definitely fall in love with this city. Sa Dec city is a city famous for its flowers. This city is very beautiful, you can see flowers throughout the city. The scenery in this city is very beautiful and cool. Your eyes will be spoiled with beautiful flowers.
The distance from Cao Lanh city to Sa Dec city is approximately 30 minutes, depending on the vehicle and traffic on that day. In Sa Dec city there is also a traditional market, and there are lots of flowers and fruits for sale.
I really like this city. I even feel at home in this city for a long time. Sa Dec city is not as busy as Cao Lanh city, but it's quite big.
